data, so the results of this study may not be valid and will not be published

purpose of this research is to determine ones attitude towards people with substance abuse problems,
recovering persons and the support related to recovery. If you agree to
participate you will complete a survey containing a brief demographic section
followed by a questionnaire equaling a total of 45 questions. The questionnaire
will take 20 minutes or less to complete. This project is not expected to
involve risks of harm any greater than those ordinarily encountered in daily
project will consist of a wide range of questions related to attitudes toward
drugs, drug addiction, relating with current or previous drug addicts and
knowledge of social support related to the recovery of drug addiction. One
brief questionnaire will be given to you. The survey questions are to be
answered in the format of a scale ranging from agree to disagree with two
varying options. All of your responses to the
questionnaires will be kept anonymous. The researcher will not keep
or collect the names of people who participate in this study. The group
results of data from this study will be shared only with members of the Senior
Seminar course, and the social science faculty of the College of Arts and

participate. You need not answer all questions and you are free to withdraw
your consent and to discontinue your participation at any time. In the event of
your early withdrawal, any information that you have provided up to that time
will be destroyed.
